BBC's Emma concluded this Sunday. I loved the two main leads but I have to say it could have been more romantic. I guess I was expecting the same treatment as the recent Jane Eyre. But this is Austen we're talking about, so I suppose not. Still, romance could have been upped a tad bit.

One of my most favorite interpretations of the Arthur legend is King Arthur with Keira and Clive. So many hot people in one movie, it made you happy just looking. I based Arthur & Gwen's moment from that movie's only love scene.

It looks really messy and Arthur looks funny to me.

So instead of putting up episode 10 of Mei-chan, I did fanart instead. Looks kinda bad, but it's late and I just wanted to finish it. I totally suck at chibi. Practice makes improvement, right??

And the Ben 10: Alien Force finale was really great. I was screaming my head off when Kevin tells Gwen he needs her and she becomes human again. Max flies in on his pet Barney. In the end the omnitrix becomes funky one more time and puts in new aliens -__- Still, the Kevin/Gwen hug stole the show for me. *squeal*

The preview of the live action Alien Force movie didn't look too bad, either. Kevin is hott. And so is Ben, surprisingly. I can't say the same about Gwen, though. WTH were they thinking with that casting choice. Hope she grows on me.

Last time on Mei-chan...REUNION!! About time. Rihito and Kento beat the hell out of each other. Rihito professes his undying loyalty to Mei (hopefully he sticks to it this time). Mei and Mammee go on a date that involves everyone at school. Funny stuffs.

The scene starts off with Mei talking really gently...like they're doing something other than what it shows as being...something (naughty) 0_0

But, she's just trying to play nurse. And not the kinky nurse, either. LAME.

Pretty sunbeams to light that gorgeous face.

Rihito does not want her tending to him because it's unnnatural (cause having a butler is natural). He resists her help but she pokes him anyway. When he winces in pain, she gets worried so he flashes her a dashing smile (I drooled), that is appropriately paired with warm sunlight growing from the window. Hell yeah they belong there; cause he's that good looking, yo. They gawk at each other for a few seconds but...

KNOCK, KNOCK, and then ppl just barge in.

Scatter!

Yeah, they look at ease and innocent. Why would Rihito be leaning like that, as endearing as that position is?

Sweet aura.

Aura?? Must get rid of it!

Mei feels bad for having everyone demoted to Ombra rank. Rika reassures her and asks for something to help Mammee with his wounds. Then

...someone screams.

Izumi and the mummy.

This place is so haunted, there's even a mummy residing here. They're all backed into a wall, but it's only Mameshiba, covered from head to toe from Rika's handwork.

Worried, Mei asks how Mammee is doing. He acts tough.

Move to close-up of Rihito looking at Mei. I love how they never forget him, even though he gives the same concerned look every time. I love it because I didn't forget him and I do want to know if he is paying attention to Mei and Mammee's exchanges.

Butt-pinch.

Rika ~~slaps Mammee's ass~~ drags Kento back to her room to bathe him in disinfectant. Fun times.

Mei thanks Mammee and she apologizes. They have their usual chatter (to be honest, I forgot what they talked about =(

They're beckoned to the classroom for another plot twist.

At the Asylum

Tami wants to see Shiori.

Shiori is a few nuts short of a sack (is that even a saying?? I just made that sh1t up, didn't I? Oh no, it sounds dirty, doesn't it? -___- How about, she's off her rocker?? Well, she is.)

She wants Shinobu to ruin Mei some more, knocks Tami to the ground, giving her a wound, and starts talking into her broken mirror, mirror on the wall about evil stuff. All negative. I blocked it out.

Back at the classroom

Skipping through the forest, two pairs of Jacks and Jills got beat up by faceless ninjas. Another girl's family house has a truck smash into it. The big girl is sent diet products by a boxload. Nezu might have to go back to HK to help with Fujiko's granpappy.

Everyone has been sucker punched on a personal level.

And whose fault is it??

No guesses.

Mei is feeling responsible but the twins come and distract her by taking her to see Kintaro.

But oh! Who else is there?? The woman who makes people in wheelchairs look bad.

Kintaro decides who the next successor is.

It's Shiori. WTF?

'Mei, you can do whatever you bloody want.

There will be an announcement ceremony in three days and Rihito, you'll be leaving for America with her.'

'Bite me. No joke, sir? Aww, damn it all to hell.'

Mei's really distraught over the news.

Tami is there to rub it in.

'Hate me! Hate me, you goody-goody!'

'No, Tami. I'm more concerned about your hand.'

Outside of her room, Kanda is waiting to deploy a guilt trip.

'Oh if only she were a bitch, then I wouldn't feel guilty about trying to kill her, maim her, and destroy her happiness all the time.

Isn't that what you're thinking, Tami?'

Everyone's talkng about Shiori being the official successor.

She's leaving soon, and taking Rihito with her!

We all vote for elopement. We got all the details worked out and provided.

Rin votes for divine intervention and Miruku suggests a complete destruction of the corporation. Gangstah man.

Izumi, ever the voice of reason, tells them their suggestions suck.

'Mei, what are you going to do?'

'.....'

While the girls have their talk, the guys have a hearts to heart, too. Rihito, with the special lights, is made 2x better looking.

They want Rihito to take action but shoot down their own suggestions.

He calmly replies that he has already told Mei his intentions. It's her turn to take control.

Poor Shinobu (I never thought I'd say that)

Shiori is all smiles and giggles. She wants to give Shinobu something for being such a good pet. He doesn't want anything, just to remain with her. AWW!

Being a cold-hearted, insane female, she off-handedly declares that it is time to part ways, breaking Shinobu's faithful lil heart.

In search of the Director

Mei can't find Rose in her secret room. Leaving, she runs into the devil spawn in her makeshift chariot of destruction.

Shiori just goes on a tirade of how much she hates Mei, doesn't care if she hates her or plots her demise, keeps talking about how she's always been alone, won't bury her parents together blah, blah. Just plain evil, hateful sh1t.

Rihito tries to drag Mei away but Shiori unleashes a super attack disguised as Rose's role in Yu and Shutaro's lives. She tells Mei Rose will not give advice or aid because Yu-san stole Shutaro from Rose, just like Mei is doing to her.

Rihito can't believe his ears. This bitch is crazy, he finally realizes.

'I'm a victim too!' Yup, that expression screams "victim".
(Yo, when you start thinking you're a victim and shouting it to everybody, it means you are no longer one -___-)

Mei's despairing.

'Even if I get all the damn jewels on this stupid bell, granpa ain't gonna change his mind. You'll still leave tomorrow, won't you? I give up. Screw this.'

I thought it was inappropriate at first; then again, she needed to get a grip. Japanese ppl seem to love using the slap as a way of communicating that the slappee is in need of a time-out. (It's also really strange that the day before I watched this episode, my bf slapped me for the first time. Not a serious one, but even playfully I thought it was a big deal. I was just like, "You slapped me..." *disbelief face* He found it amusing that I was so shocked, the bastard. Love you, honey!)

Mei is shocked.

Rihito looks PISSED. Still hot, though.

Yup, I used this hand. I touched her again.

Mei runs away. Rihito is sad.

Nope, can't find her. Not even with a helicopter.

Mammee, Izumi, and Kiba go to Natsumi's house only to find that Mei has not even been there. Mammee leaves in a hurry and Natsumi looks on, unsure.

I always try to capture their moments. They're just the cutest!

In this horrid lighting, Rihito still looks yumm-licious.

At first I was mad because Rihito wasn't looking for Mei but goes instead to the lion's den.

Btw, wth is up with her lights all the time? Like she's a bat that can see in the dark?

Rihito is there to make it crystal clear to Lucia that if she has any delusions about him coming back to her, he's about to tear it down.

"My heart, now and hereafter, is with Mei-sama."

Also, 'You are a nitwit and a stomper of hearts. You're a heart stomper! Mei is nothing like you (OH, burn).' Then he respectfully bows like he just didn't rip her frigid heart out of her chest. I love it. The contrast is brilliantly played out.

'See ya!'

Rihito finds Rose. Less dark than earlier, and still fione, Hiro.

We get this long explanation of Rose's history: Rose used to hate Yu-san for taking away Shutaro. She was similar to Shiori back then but realized the couple's bond was unbreakable. Once she gave up, she felt a whole lot better, rose to Lucia status and here she is today.

Rose reminds Rihito that Mei is being tested right now.

Kintaro finds Kento. He wants Mammee to study abroad and get an S-rank certification. He admires the kid for all he's done and his loud spirit.

Kento wants to know why Mei didn't become successor.

'No resolution in the girl.'

Pretty scene!

Mei is overlooking some water and some mountains. She has found a new jacket. And different shoes. Rihito is there!

I hear footsteps.

'You found me.'

Cutest bow I've ever seen.

'Because I'm your butler.' XD So he has a cheeky side.

Looking mighty nice surrounded by snow glare.

'This is the last place my parents and I visited together. It was only a year ago.'

'Mei-sama, you must think being a Hongo causes so much trouble. I am, however, grateful that you possess that blood. It has allowed me to meet you.' T__T

'This letter is from the Director. I have to get going; I must prepare for my trip.' Sure...*wink-wink*

We don't know the contents of the letter, written by Shutaro and her mom, yet. Whatever it says, I would still cry over it.

Shutaro tells Mei that life is full of sacrifices and protecting what you hold dear, like he did, when he left his family to make a new one with Yu.

Mei runs after Rihito. He's taking his sweet time walking away =D

Have to relive the moments with the glowy effects.

Yu-san's message: Mei, you're a strong girl, you'll be fine without us. If you have someone who can fight with you, in whatever, fight for them.

Walking away, Rihito is beckoned to look back.

"I'll fight!" He closes the gap.

I'll rip that heffa a new one!

'Then by the sword you fight with, I'll be your shield.'

So envious...I wish I had warm back-lighting following me wherever I go. I would look bitchin' too.

Let's duel.

'I don't want to be successor. We're fighting for my butler, Shibata Rihito.' (This is the first time, or maybe the second she has said his name. Rihito must be giggling with joy inside from hearing it)

'You leaving this school if you lose has no benefit to me. Let's go Shinobu.'

She remembers Rihito's statement of being faithful to Mei, stopping her in her wheelchair tracks.

Looking at Rihito, 'Will you promise to forget her and serve me for all eternity?'

"If that's the conditions of the duel."

'Let's bet everything, then. If you win, I'll step down as the successor and leave the school. If I win, Rihito returns to me and you and this entire class leaves the school.'

Mei hesitates because everyone's fate is in her hands.

Izumi, Rika and the rest speak up and say it's okay.

'We got your back, cuh.'

That's some support =)

Hiro, lookin good with just the right amount of shadows.

Shinobu accepts on behalf of Shiori. The guys discuss how unbelievable of a fighter he is -___-

Shiori and her evil presence leave and they rejoice. Cute, reassuring moment...

Had to kill the joy.

Mei-chan no Shitsuji: Episode 8

      I skipped episode 7, I know, but it was too much of a drama thing. And in the end, Mei and Rihito separate. At least with this one, they come full circle and you bet I am super pysched about it.

       What is memorable about that episode, besides the sadness, is that Shinobu seems to be unsettled by Lucia's continued spiral into Crazy Town. He's not a thoughtless lackey after all. Aw, he cares. It's not just blind obedience. Also, Rose confronts Shiori and warns her about the man Rihito will become. She seems to have been in the same position as Shiori and we can only assume it was with Yu-san and Shutaro.

      There is also Rihito's slight confession to Mei before she leaves. Ugh, what a bittersweet scene.

      Last episode...Mei leaves St. Lucia. She says her goodbye and so does everyone else...well, not really. Mameshiba leaves with her. So, we find her back in her hometown.

First and foremost, Rihito looked mad good in this episode. Like super, super hott yo.

From her job, Mei remembers last week's episode. Mameshiba comforts her as she mourns what she has lost

At St Lucia, everyone is feeling her absence. Then they hear Mei and Kento. Hurrah!

Sike! Milk and Daimon just have dummies of them.

Rihito is still recovering and Lucia insists on taking care of him....spare me.

I say, get your grubby paws off him, wackster!

That position is quite attractive Shinobu. You almost look suave =D

After he recovers and before he leaves, Shinobu informs him that the Hongo have contacted.

The sister reminds everyone that Rihito is not present. So, she's forgoing dinner. Mei is once again reminded.

Mammee stalks Mei a bit and wants to talk about what happened at the beach. Before he can do that...

Hold the phone. Am I seeing things??

Hell, I can't believe it either!
(I love that he's back in his entire suit. YUMMM)

He approaches Mei formally and tells her that if she does not go back to school in a week, she is getting booted out permanently and all her future inheritance will be denied.

'If that's all you have to say, thanks. I gotta bounce.'

OMG, RIhito, It's okay!!

Instinctively, Mammee gets defensive at Rihito's sudden appearance but is surprised to see his expression so pained.

Sad music plus sad Mei.

Stupid shitsuji! Why you gotta show up and make me mopier than I already am?

'Now that Mei is gone, you gots to go back to Shiori.'

'Aw sh1t, do I have to?'

Everyone comes to visit and bring her back.

The sister goes ballistic over all the guys. In the confusion, Rika gets her head stuck in the paper wall.

They're all wondering why she up and left without an explanation. Mammee comes to her aid and tells them Lucia has been bullying Mei for some time and if she didn't leave, they'd all get hurt eventually.

The butler-lover comes out and makes it known that Rihito is missing before passing out. Everyone wants to know if she's okay with him going back to Shiori. Mei tries to play it off that she's happy here.

(It's not that she's miserable because of where she is, she just misses Rihito, ohkay?? And everyone, too. But there's no admitting that.)

Why, what's so great about this place? When she says nothing, they wonder if it's a man.

'Your ass can't get a man. Puh-lease, girl. Who are you kidding.'

Insulteld, Mei points to Mammee as the lucky guy on the receiving end of her unbridled affections. They have a date tomorrow, too.

Natsumi passes out.

This is news to everyone, Mammee and Mei included.

Somewhere dark and depressing...

'Lookie here, I'll handle all the hard sh1t, you just stick your pretty self by Lucia and all will be well. I'm still running dis thang.'

'Wth are you really after, huh white boy?'

'Puh-shaw! Like you can do anything about it even if you knew. You're so useless right now.'

Mammee sits on an old lady cause he can't contain his excitement about their date, even arriving two hours early for it. Mei is so excited, you can really tell.

No one can believe they're on a date...until...

The slow motion kicks in and BAM! Major points to Kento for slickness.

So it's true...she won't be coming back then =(

The girls get her a gift. Their messages are sweet. Aw.

Back at the pits of despair...

Tami interrupts Rihito's pining and rubs salt on his wounds, showing him a picture of the date with the holding hands part.

She pleads for him to be more attentive to the emotionally unstable woman that caused him to separate from Mei.

Yeah, good luck with that.

Lucia gives a greeting but is ignored.

Like she cares, though; she's in La-la Land. She probably doesn't notice that they're all talking sh1t about her, hahaha!

Everyone's been demoted to Ombra for caging-in the Soul-less Sistahs. (They should do that more often. They can't be demoted any lower and they can't kick them all out. Stuff those snobs. Stuff em good.)

OMG, I'm totally fangirling Kiba right here. He's adorable, normally, but wow. When he's all serious business face => fangirl flail.

Oh, right. He asks Rihito for a word or two.

Mei requests Mammee's help at work and we learn she is saving money to buy her own udon shop. AWww =( Mammee, giddy and distracted by that bit, starts pouring a lil too much.

Some udon eater happens to know the Shibata's and inquires about Rihito. Mei overhears and returns to her internal hole of SAD.

Awww...Poor Mei...poor Mammee =(

There's a butler's conference at the dining hall.

'What in tarnation's name is bloody wrong with you, Shibata?? For crying out loud, get a bleedin' hold of yourself and get Mei back. You're acting pathetic.'

'Look guys, I have to serve who the hell they tell me to. I'll be crying inside but I gotta do what I gotta do.'

'Well we don't like it. You are a damn invertebrate. '

Huge sigh of frustration.

Being highly sensitive to Mei's feelings, Mammee is so conflicted. He's happy to have her all to himself and back at home but she's obviously miserable.

Oh, Mammee. What will you do?

HAHAHA, Rose and her theatrics are the best.

The udon Rose makes tastes like Mei's family's. Why??

Ooop, the truth comes out. Rose knows Mei's mom quite well because they went to St. Lucia together. Yu-san had to drop out because her family lost their money. But she was aiight cause Shutaro was with her.

And Rose was Shutaro's fiancee, right?

So reading between the lines, (a skill I still do not posses so I don't know why I'm even attempting) she is telling Mei that if she had Rihito, no matter where she is, even if she has nothing, she'll be alright.

"A person with no will to fight will never be happy."

I think you need to tell that to Rihito as well.

Rihito spends hours looking for this book that isn't there. I think he's gone a bit mad.

Shinobu wants to sprinkle some sunshine on his day so he reminds him that after tomorrow, Mei is going to be gone for good with no way of returning. Shiori is really happy to have him around, even though he's just a walking body with no one upstairs (duh, she's a loon).

'But Rihito, you're running from your misery, that's why you don't care.'

'How many times I gotta tell you to shut your face, boy?'

"You're spineless."

Shinobu, you just got major brownie points for that.

Speaking of walking bodies with no one upstairs, aka "shells", Earth to Mei.

Mammee is happily telling her about school and going back but she's just not with the program.

Naruto 437

     Oh Kishi, what have you done....
      I've left this fandom alone until the hopeful day that Sasuke comes back to Konoha and returns to his rightful place with Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi. During my wait, Kishimoto decides to kill off Kakashi, among many others, until everything and everyone is pretty much fucked over x 1000.
      The fights have become typically lengthy and wordy and to keep interest among the fanbase, he kills off someone every so often. With so much death, I would like to conclude that this is the last hurrah; the deciding war. At the end of this arc, the series will be resolved and all will be well.
      But there's still Sasuke. There's still Madara. There's still Kakashi to confirm dead. Then I think it's never going to end. I'll be waiting forever for Sasuke to be returned to angsting in Konoha.
      With death all around them, I honestly thought there were those that were immune. Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Hinata, Konohomaru...
      How bloody wrong was I. Or so it seems.
      I bawled like a baby when Hinata appeared. I think we all knew what was going to happen. I just didn't expect it tobe so heart-breaking.
      Poor Hinata. Poor Naruto.

      Damn you, Kishi.

     I don't know if I have anymore patience with this series to keep reading if she truly is dead.

     With Hinata gone, who gives a fuck about anyone else. Her elimination is kind of the last straw. I've already forgotten why I like this series. It's kind of like being in a long-term relationship that has gone stale and you no longer like them. You don't want to break up because it's more trouble than staying together. You invested so many years with that person, it would seem wasteful to just let it end. So you plow on. Yeah, I pity people who have relationships like that *cough*Mark!*cough* but what can you do. It seems I have that with Naruto.

I also don't know about Mei-chan episode 7. I don't want to review it when I'm not in the mood. When I want to do it, I will. That episode is just hard to watch again. Sadness all around, boo!!

Previously on Mei-chan...things were awkward with Rihito because of their wonderful hug. Unbeknownst to them someone had taken pictures and evil forces worked it to their advantage....

Mei and Rihito arrive to a heavily posted up board with pictures of their hug. Mei is distraught and Rihito is just plain 'ol shocked. She starts taking them down after everyone starts accusing her of breaking the rules, like she and Rihito were literally caught with their pants down. Mammee arrives with more pictures from elsewhere and starts helping Mei with the board.

Why does she look like she's been caught with her hand in the cookie jar, if she really is oblivious about Mameshiba's feelings?

Or she's just embarassed, in general? See, that's where I can't relate. I'd be all proud and prolly be grinning that someone caught every second on film for me.

Then again, I'm not in that school.

Anyway, Rihito tries to help too but Mammee starts blaming him and saying he's hurt her again.

Izumi breaks them up and informs Mei and Rihito that they have to be separated as they investigate their relationship. Rihito has to stay at the church thingy place.

I've been bothered by his pants before but never have i seen it displayed in such a blantantly ugly and distracting angle. Are they plastic?! Perhaps a plastic, snake-skin hybrid....

He apologizes and Mei is just sad.

So am I!

In Ombra, the students barge in and check for "evidence" of their relationship.

We're told that not only are Mei and Rihito being invesitigated but also the entire student body.

Fujiko is removed from Nezu's person; cause really, she seems to have an orgasm whenever they're together. Well, they're probably confused because she's a walking orgasm on her own.

Fujiko is in Mei's room, lamenting on Nezu's absence. She tells them he's her bodyguard because she from the Chinese mafia. She doesn't want to be married to an oil baron but desires to be a housewife instead, cooking and taking care of Nezu. But they haven't done anything yet. Just a kiss on the forehead. Mammee and Mei find them to be so advanced already. (????)

Nezu and Rihito are in the church thingy and Nezu tells him several pairs have been removed already. He figures they'll be gone too.

Mameshiba and the pet rat

Shinobu is waiting to ruin Mammee's day. Mameshiba shrugs him off and walks away, but not before the rat tells him he's losing to his brother.

You have to really respect Mameshiba. He doesn't take Shinobu's crap. If only everyone else would just walk away from the fool.

Both Nezu and Rihito are released due to insufficient evidence. Nezu tries to be the playah that he is and attempts to remove the stick out of one Sole's ass. Rihito looks on, amused. (Taking notes, I hope????)

Back at the love nest

Having dinner is just not the same anymore. Mei and Rihito try to talk but it's not working

Mei drops her spoon and they both reach at the same time. HAND TOUCH!

Rihito is nervous. He's not allowed to endure because Tami and Kanda bust in on them. They give Mei a blowup of that perfect moment.

I hate when they're interrupted =(

News. The fat girl cracks me up. I would react the same way, yo.

There's to be a butler exchange.

It's unbelievable.

This is supposed to teach them that no matter who their butler is, it's the same sh1t.

Mei tries to talk about what happened at the park but he brushes her off and tries to leave. Not before declaring,

The hall is in dissaray. That's a clear shot of Aoyama's behind. Fujiko and Daimon are giving a show.

Daimon is having trouble adapting to Fujiko's "mature" body and Miruku is pissed. Aoyama is still recovering.

Mei arrives.

Nezu is drunk and obnoxious, telling him he's going to lose to Rihito if he doesn't start acting like a man. (Yes, because you are clearly the right authority to advise such a thing. Can't even admit to yourself how you feel.)

Nezu calls for Fujiko in his sleep. Aw =(

He tells Mammee, 'Fujiko needs to find her own happiness.' The best thing to do is to push her away, right?

Mei catches up with Fujiko. Tami joins the party.

They discuss the origin of the golden rule of Lucia Academy. A lady and her butler fell in love. (They didn't really explain why that was a bad thing. Family ties and reputation, maybe? Eh.)

I can see why that would be such a draw when you're in her situation.

And so we start our descent into the black depths.

Mei-chan no Shitsuji: Episode 5 – my detailed overview
Major spoilers. Really, really picture heavy.

Last time on Mei-chan no Shitsuji…Mei finds out all kinds of things she didn’t wanna know about…like how Rihito used to be Shiori’s playthang. Shiori wants Rihito back so that’s why Shinobu is all up in her business, making trouble wherever he goes. After that, Mei gets really deep in thought and that’s where we find her…face to face with the morally challenged, Lucia-sama

Oh, Nana, I’d have the same expression too.

Basically, Mei’s feeling worthless.

     So Shiori is going to have class with everyone now. Some of the ~~fangirls~~ students are surrounding her while the rest are telling Mei what a perfect, gifted, intelligent, gorgeous lady Shiori is, with no comparison anywhere else in the bloody world. Of course Mei feels singled out and crappy as a result.

Lucia tries, and succeeds, in manipulating the situation.

     Oh, I can have class with everyone now and I can even take a few steps! Not. Help me Rihito-sama!
     Sad Mei =(
     Smug, white rat.

The bastard can’t keep his mouth shut.

     To make things worse, pasty ass-wipe tells everyone that Mei is also a Hongo. Then, he goes and says that Rihito used to be Lucia’s butler a year ago. Lucia plays it off like she didn’t want pasty ass-wipe saying all this, but come on! Gasps all around.

Yeah, I knew you quiet bastard. But I don’t care. You’re mine, suckah!

     Finally, the scene ends and they’re alone. Rihito tries to apologize about being Lucia’s manwhore and not telling her. She says she knew already and doesn’t care. I think she deserves a hug, Hiro. You know you want to.

They’re disappointed in Mei for covering up the truth. Like I want to tell you guys everything about my life, ha. You ain’t my bffs!

Shady Sole --hahahaha! They remind me of the borg.

     The Soul chiks tell Izumi that a test is going to be given in a few days. Those who don’t pass, get kicked out.

I love all of Hiro’s close-ups. Rawr.

     Lucia wants to eat with everyone at her greenhouse of death. Mei politely declines because of the fangirls’ glares. She downs some pork and Miruku comes in and sits with her. She had told Shiori she didn’t want to eat with her skinny ass and said she wasn’t going to suck up to her, either. I’m sure Shiori wants her dead now.
     Miruku says what she doesn’t like about Lucia is that she uses her butler to make trouble for everyone. Of course, Shinobu is at his favorite spot, the side of the door frame, listening in. Rihito sees and we get another smoldering look. (He needs to stop thinking and start doing. Preferably, something to Mei =D)

Izumi’s on the warpath.

     Izumi finds Mei and tells her about the test. She’s pissed. Study, Mei! Study! And where the puck is Rihito when you need him?!
     He’s with Rose, asking about Shiori and why the hell she’s ruining his time with Mei-sama. Rose is all aloof but asks if he’s really surprised that it’s been revealed how he used to Shiori’s butler. I’m not talking about me, Rihito says. Rose wonders out loud how Mei will deal with Shiori as her rival. Rihito answers that Mei is a possible successor of the Hongo family but she never saw Shiori as her rival. Rose knowingly implies that being rivals as successors of the Hongo family is not what she meant. (Hint, hint, Rihito, you dense fool)

The men in black come for Miruku. And who made it happen? Freakin’ pasty asswipe again.

I’m going to steal your woman, onii-san.

     Carrot-top is waiting for Rihito outside of the super secret room. He starts telling him how he knows what Shinobu and Mei were talking about; that all the trouble Mei has been getting is all because Lucia wants Rihito back. Mammee says Rihito should go back to Lucia so he can be Mei’s butler and threatens his brother that if he hurts her, he won’t forgive him. Dun, dun, dun. Well done, Mammee-kun.

Mei is studying hard, but just can’t get it. Good thing Rihito-san is there to help…distract her! Mmmm..sex-seh.

Miruku is pissed. She’s tired of studying and typing on the computer! She doesn’t want to hear that she’s just a tool. Take that, man in black.

Second most important scene.

     Shinobu comes out of nowhere and requests some alone time with Rihito. They go outside somewhere and the sky is appropriately dramatic. Imagine that. Shinobu starts talking again and asks if Rihito really doesn’t see that Mei has feelings for him. Oh Rihito, don’t tell me you’re shocked?! Pasty tells him that Mei was present at Lucia Garden.
     Yes,I brought her to the garden while Lucia was groping you. She saw the whole thing. Bwahaha!
     Hiro looks so handsome with a shocked expression and even more so when he’s pissed off. As he’s slightly assaulting Shinobu, the asswipe asks if he was the one who really hurt Mei. Or was it Rihito? Are you mad as a butler or as a man because you’re the butler and you have feelings for her? Blah, blah, psychoanalysis, blah, blah, blah, you should be ashamed; you’re not fit to hold that title… blah, blah, more BS. He fondles Rihito’s face and leaves.
     I actually like Shinobu in this scene. He is so straightforward and open about everything; a sadist by nature. Though his intentions are less than honorable, he manages to address the situation with Mei and Rihito and maybe make Rihito admit to himself what he really feels for her. He is appalled that Mei is witness to the groping scene in Lucia Garden and he is hurt that he causes her pain when Shinobu describes her reaction to seeing them.
     Come on, Rihito-san! Get with the freakin program.

Meanwhile….

     Miruku (isn’t that Japanese-English for “milk”??) is missing…but is found by Mei and Mammee in Mei’s dorm. They go to Mei’s bff’s house by way of stolen helicopter, piloted by MI-7. At the house, Miruku makes Mei’s bff’s sister a nifty lil gadget that lets her see a more-than-willing Rihito fulfilling her “needs”. Where the hell can I get one?! (Hiro looks soooo hot here. I get so flustered looking at him through those goggles. I think my boyfriend wanted to strangle me seeing my reaction.)
     Milk stays for the night.

Back at Lucia Academy, the authorities are notified.

     Rihito and Daimon are prohibited from interfering or looking for their mistresses until they return. The other butlers are required to watch over the two. Rihito is oh so troubled =(

They’re both on lockdown.

     Izumi gives out a petition that pardons Mei from punishment, but the other girls aren’t so enthusiastic.

Funtimes.

     Milk takes them to an amusement park. Mei babysits. When she asks Miruku to return to school, she says no and even if Daimon is worried, it’s for the best.

The men in black return. They rub it in that they have found MI-7 and they may/may not hurt the “kidnappers”. Hiro needs a serious hug from me.

Crying time! I know I did.

     Miruku explains that once they find her, she’ll go back to the institute. She wants to separate from Daimon now because it will eventually happen anyway. Of all the people, he is the only one she trusts and is the closest thing to a family. He’s the only one that treats her like a kid. But, he can’t stay by her side forever. It’s better for him if she is gone.

    Mei calls her stupid. Why would you give up now? If you want him to stay by your side, if you want him to be with you, you have to do your best and fight for what you want. (Yeah, she understands all too well, ne =D)

     Daimon reminds Rihito of his promise to Mei. Ain’t nobody betah git in mah way.
    It’s about time, idiot.

Rose and her secrets.

    Last episode, it’s been revealed that Rose is in communication with Kitaro-san. What role she plays is yet to be revealed. In this episode and in previous ones, she has hinted of her acquaintance with both of Mei’s parents, particularly Mei’s mother. Upon hearing of Rihito’s disobedience by leaving, she comments that both mother and daughter have the influence to make men so determined.
    So her mom is not a poor girl? Did she go to school at St. Lucia’s? We know she causes Mei’s dad to leave his inheritance and cut ties with the Hongo family. If Rose knows her, she can’t be poor then. Unless she knows Mei’s dad first and through him she met Mei’s mom.
     Before Daimon or Rihito can leave, they run into Looney Lucia. Daimon goes ahead.

A lot of running happens.

     At the amusement park, the trio is attacked by ninja’s with firepower. They’re being chased all over but are eventually cornered. Just as we think Milk is going to be taken, Daimon shows up and saves her. The men in black + ninja surround them and are about to fire…

     Looney Lucia tells Rihito that he can’t save Mei. But she can. He just needs to return to her. Rihito tells her straight out, I’m Mei’s butler, biatch. Got it?
     She goes back to her garden of death and smiles??

BEST SCENE SO FAR……

Hold the phone! Rihito has arrived.

     We find Mei looking to the sea when Rihito sees her. He apologizes for being late (damn straight). Mei tells him that Daimon and Milk are together, over yonder. The people in black suddenly up and left (o rly? I wonder why?? I wonder who called them to begin with, right, pasty asswipe?).

Is Mei nervous again?

Her hands are shaking. Late reaction.

It's because I’m relieved, probably. Heh,heh.

*speechless*

Rihito: Oh shit! My bad, Mei-sama.

Mei: ...

Carrot-top, you just missed it!

Still not budging…It’s a good awkward, though =D

Test time.

     The petition saved her but she still has the test to tackle.

Miruku has balls yo. You have to admit, Lucia can be dangerous.

     Lucia tries to be fake nice. Ha! Miruku sees through it and tells her she knows she called those guys to monitor her. She also knows Lucia was the one that called them off. Whatever Lucia is up to, she’s not going to let her get away with it. Shiori –> DENIED!

More awkward moments (cute to me!)

    Rihito can’t even pull off regular duties like serving tea. He’s so nervous! Hahaha! Hiro, you are adorable. They’re both so endearing in this scene. (I was freakin' giddy. I think I cackled.)

Trouble (never-ending when Shiori’s wants your butler)

     I don’t know who the girl is. Have we seen her before? If we have, it has to be Tami. She has short hair. But, Tami wears shorts. The girl has a skirt. Unless…she changes when she snitches to the Evil Wonder Twins. She may be someone we may not know at all.
     Anyway, she has a picture for Shiori to use. Shiori doesn’t care if she has to break Rihito in order to get him back. (No!! He’s too good-looking to hurt.)

Oh man…

     Everyone’s huddled around the board. Someone caught the best scene so far on camera!
     What I don’t understand is why it is such a big deal? It’s not like they’re facing each other. That “sexy” girl and her butler are embracing like this a lot and they don’t get shit for it. Whatever, let's see when they kiss [wait for it... (knock on wood)], then they can start making a fuss, hehehe.

     There’s dancing involved. Tami makes a blow-up version of the hug (hehehe). Rihito is at Lucia’s bedside, for another performance, I guess. What a ham. Daimon gets knocked down and starts bleeding. More awkward moments with Rihito and Mei. And of course, Mameshiba makes it known to Mei that he likes her. WTF?! Perhaps that's why dancing together is tense? Oh man, what will Rihito do? What will Mei say to Mammee??

I want next episode now! Why must I go through three exams before then =(

The International with Clive Owen and Naomi Watts

      Coming into this movie, I had no idea what it was about or who was in it. My boyfriend just took me and there I was. I never heard much about it, actually. It seems to have received an indie-film kind of treatment when it came to promos and such.
      One of the best things it has going for it is probably Clive Owen. Naomi Watt isn't in it that much. At least, not enough considering she has a co-starring title. She's tolerable. Owen brings his usual intensity and presence.
     It's one of those movies that really engages you and keeps your mind on its toes. There's a lot going on, gotta keep up.
     It's worth the $10.

     Lessons Learned:

#1: Don't mess with Italian families. Seriously, don't.

#2: There's no justice in a capitalistic world. Everyone has their hands in the pie.

Mei-chan no Shitsuji: Episode 4 Review (of sorts)

Finally, internet's back!

A scene-by-scene breakdown of ep. 4. Major spoilers. Image-heavy!

Last time on Mei-chan….Rihito tries to convince Mei to participate in Izumi’s duel. She refuses until the very end, when looking towards the lake she gets an epiphany; a reason to stay in St. Lucia’s: Rihito-sama!! At least, that was my take on it. So…on to episode 4.

The duel begins and their objectives are to find Kiba’s precious treasure within 3 hours. There are fake treasure chests, booby traps, and Mei has to deal with shady guys trying to kidnap her ass. Luckily Mameshiba wanders off from Rika again and helps her run away. They run into Izumi and Mei tells her she wants to stay because she found a reason (hinting towards Rihito), making Mameshiba jealous (aw!).
In the end, Mei comes back a second before the time limit and they each present their findings. Izumi has the butler’s handbook and Mei has the handmade necktie of Kiba’s made by Izumi; a treasure Izumi finds earlier but dismisses it as a fake. Kiba chooses Mei’s necktie. Mei wins.

Rihito-sama saves the day!

In that moment, Rihito makes another grand entrance, apologizes to Mei for his tardiness (squee!) and explains to everyone that Izumi is Kiba’s most cherished person (Kiba is so adorable). Izumi’s “evil” step-mother disrupts the happy revelation and tries to take Kiba back. Mei interjects and says her wish is to have Kiba remain as Izumi’s butler. The step-mother makes a fuss and has her butler try to forcefully take Kiba back by pushing Mei aside. Duh, Rihito-sama has none of that and pushes away the bald man with his fists of fury. He then tells both Izumi and the SM that they have both been duped by the wrong guy. (shock!)

Izumi’s SM is being blackmailed by the real father of Izumi’s brother. We all thought he was the son of Izumi’s dad, but no! SM wanted to take Izumi’s right to succeed the family away because the blackmailer wanted to inject his son into the position and make future trouble. Good thing that they messed with Mei, and Rihito-sama had to do something about it. Izumi forgives the SM and they’re a happy family again!
After it’s all resolved, Mei asks Izumi to just call her Mei as her reward for winning.

Mei, Rihito, and Mameshiba start walking back because it’s dinner time. Rihito apologizes for not being there. Mameshiba gets pissed and tells him about the people trying to kidnap her (they were disposed of, btw, by the two ninja! butlers of Kintaro). Mei keeps telling him to shut-up, but you know Mameshiba and his big-ass mouth. Mei tries to make it clear: she accepted the duel on her own (I think she tries to tell him, indirectly, not to feel bad about not being there). So they share this cute-ass moment and Mameshiba gets uncomfortable by the adoring looks they give each other and stalks off. Mei stops him and they all go to her bff’s house.

This family is too hilarious.

     They’re all having hot-pot (makes me want to have one too). They start talking about how Mei and Rihito share the same room and he has to be by her side 24/7. Mei gets all flustered and starts spooning sugar out (large tablespoonfuls, too) instead of salt. Then the hot-pot starts boiling and Rihito swats her hand away so she won’t get burned and calmly opens the lid. Mameshiba is pissed (again =().

      Back at Ombra…Mei is nervous. Who the hell wouldn’t if they are alone with Hiro in a room? Lucky bitch. She insists she wants to sleep already. Rihito leaves her alone but Tami and her butler bookend Mei and tease her about Rihito. Rihito comes out and tries to chase them away but Mei grabs Tami and tells her she wants some company. Big mistake. She gets no sleep because the girl sleep-karate’s her off the bed.

      Going to class, Mei is still nervous. She looks back at Rihito and is half shy, half giddy when their eyes connect (soo gorgeous). Unfortunately for Mameshiba, he happens to be right in the middle of it happening (pissed again). Rihito gets called out by suspicious light and Mei and Izumi have a talk.
      Izumi tells Mei that Shinobu is behind all the evil-doings behind Mei’s troubles. She thinks it’s actually Lucia-sama that wants her out. Shinobu’s weasel-ass comes from behind the door (typically) and informs them both that Lucia has nothing to do with any of his plotting. He tells Mei to follow him.


Scandalous! Lucia-sama, you catty biatch.

      Of course he leads her to where this scene is taking place, the bastard (so handsome, though. loved him and Yu Yamada in their last drama). She watches Lucia grope Rihito in all kinds of ways and hear from the white-haired wonder how she is the reason Shiori and Rihito are apart. At one time, he preaches, they both needed each other so desperately it was like breathing, blah, blah, bullshit. Mei runs away (I would have kneed the pasty asswipe first) and of course, the pasty asswipe follows. He’s a stalker first and a butler second.

It turns out Lucia-sama is only sick in the head.

      Rihito tries to leave Lucia-sama in a way that won’t break her fragile, fragile heart. Stupid leech has none of it and clings even more. He tries to tell her that Mei is his mistress now, not her. She does a complete 180 and evilly informs him that he’s mistaken. He is her butler from now until oblivion. Just you wait, Rihito. Cue evil laughter.

      Meanwhile, along the lake…Mei is feeling some melancholy. She replays what she has seen and heard. Instead of leaving her alone like a polite person, Shinobu invades her personal space and tries to offer her some “comfort”. Freakin’ weirdo. She steps on his foot and walks away. Mameshiba (a stalker in training) catches up to her after hearing their uncomfortable exchange and asks her what’s going on with her and Rihito. She tells him to mind his flippin’ business but he counters by telling her a romance between butler and mistress is a no-no. She gets all affronted and pushes him. He runs for his life -__-

      When Mei arrives at the dorm, Rihito-sama is already there. He goes and prepares dinner. She’s all dopey-eyed and nervous again. Nana is so cute when she keeps looking back at him. Rihito’s is oblivious. AWww!!

Mei replays what she learned from Shinobu. Don’t feel guilty!

      As Mei and Rihito head to class, they both notice (at the same time!) that shit is about to go down yo. Everyone’s excited. But why?!

Oh, puck.

The emotionally unstable queen of two-faces rears her pretty(?) head.

     Lucia-sama tells everyone she is going to be joining them for classes from now on.
     Big whoop.

PREVIEW

      I think it goes without saying that when this last scene showed up on my screen, I screamed like I was scared shitless. Doesn’t Hiro look absolutely adorable when he’s giving comfort? Worry, reassurance, possessiveness – all in that look I love! Hold me, Hiro-san!

I really am tired of people dismissing this show because it is not like Hana Kimi or Hana Yori Dango. Get the puck over it man....it never was, it never will be. The source materials are completely different. In fact, the manga is way too shoujo and unrealistic. The comedy in MCnS is akin to the slapstick found in anime. That's the vibe I get when watching. If it doesn't suit your taste, then by all means, stop watching. No one's forcing you.

**SMALLVILLE SPOILERS**

     Goodness me, Smallville "Bulletproof" is a great episode but is blotched by the Clana at its conclusion. Where the hell it comes from beats the hell out of me. I did enjoy greatly the bit with Chloe and Clark; she reprimands him for the eventual Clana she sees a mile away and wants Clark to guard Lois from it (too late!). Good lookin' out cuz. The episode is also interesting because it reveals another notch on Lex's evil stick. He has been using Tess as his eyes. Literally.
     Weirdness.
     I like that Clark is bonding with Metropolis and is exposed not only to the bad on the surface but also the corruption underneath the facade of the righteous. Supes is getting his edjumakayshun.
     More potential Ollie/Tess action in the future? PLZ!!
     Erica Durance, come back already!! I'm in desperate need of my Clois fix.

     I had the chance to see The Family that Preys. Quite enjoyable, actually. Well-written and the casting was spot-on. Ah, love Alfre Woodard and Kathy Bates.
     Sanaa Lathan plays Alfre's daughter once again, but as a completely different character. She made me want to smack a bitch. Great performance from her.
     It seems as if whatever Taraji P. Henson plays, she brings da funk. The girl cracks me up.

     I saw an episode of American Idol this week. It's hard to catch it nowadays because when is it on??????
     I don't know if I like the new judge. Who is she anyway?
     Paula and Simon are still funny together. If I had an crack OTP for A.I., they would be it.
     My favorite of the episode (Louisville, Kentucky), is the girl who used to be homeless. She sings her own song for the audition and she has presence, yo. I like her very much.
     I didn't like the tall blonde chick in the beginning. She has awful makeup, frizzy ass hair that looked like she pulled if off some junkie's head, and a crap attitude. Her mother swears "she breaks my heart when she sings". No doubt lady. I'd be broken-hearted too if I created that. Anyway, she sings like shit and they told her so. Then she starts mouthing off and showing off her "talent". Her mom, beside her, actually looks like she's not torn from laughing hysterically or cringing from awkwardness like the rest of us, but is instead enjoying it??? I'm guessing she turned off her hearing aid.
     The funniest part is the segment with the really loud, energetic contestant. He makes me smile. I mean, the man has contagious energy. He goes into the audition and starts off his song quite powerfully, like he's gone SSJ, and the judges are woken up and everything. Paula looks like she's gonna strip, the other chick starts banging the table and breaks her ring. They're all just floored by him. But alas, he was not chosen because he can't carry a tune.
     Oh A.I., I missed you.

My trip to NY was great. Ate half my weight so I just got rounder. Also, if you ever have the chance to check out Daniel Radcliffe in Equus, DO IT!! I tell you, any doubts I had about his acting skills were thrown out the window as I watched that play. It looked so emotionally draining, that performance. He, Richard Griffiths, and Captain Janeway, aka Kate Mulgrew, were very exceptional in their roles. It was much talking and psychoanalysis. Dan was awesome. Thought I'd never hear Harry Potter say "fuck" and other things...also, nekky people run amuck.

I'm also currently obsessed with Macross F and have finally gotten around to finishing R2 of Geass. I still <3 Lelouch, no matter what he seems to do. And Suzaku also. Wish they stuck him with Karen.

Twilight & Quantum of Solace

I watched it @.@ and I have to admit, it was a decent movie.

      The main reason why I agreed to go with sister & her friends was because I was scared to take my bf, who would most likely kill me for taking him to a chick flick. I, personally, wanted to check it out to see Cedric Diggory's hot self on screen again, and to immerse myself in Twilight without having to read those awful, corny-ass books.. I really did try to stomach them, but I guess I'm too "macho" for it. I hate full-blown, serious, romantic shit. I had to settle with speed reading the entire thing. So I thought, if it was anything like the book, I would most likely be laughing at it, a lot.

      The movie, however, was a bit different. You are spared from the lengthy descriptions of Bella's Edward. Instead, you just have to look at Cedric Diggory and you'll turn into a puddle. So, no overly long paragraphs of Edward guys, that's taking half the book with it.

      It was funny. Yeah, I was not expecting that. It did a nice job of making fun of itself. Admittedly, there were parts from the book that you could not escape. Those were funny just because it was bad. I was in a room full of tweens and I think our group were the only ones laughing terribly hard over Edward catching Bella's scent for the first time. She walks in front of this fan in Bio class and the look on his face when he gets overwhelmed by it is too perfect. I was really in pain from laughing so hard. He looked like he was smelling something truly foul and had to high tail it out of the room. Bella smelled like shit, people. How could he resist.

      Bella wasn't as annoying. It was only towards the end. She wasn't that much of a Mary-Sue. I saw some personality in there. Cedric Diggory was so charming, though. But don't take my word for it; I'm biased =P

       All in all, it was still a chick flick. Only chicks would fall head over heels over the idea of being a vampire. Thanks, but I'd like to live a long life with my bf, raise some kids, then die and go to heaven. There's nothing romantic about living forever. It seems terrible. What would be the point in life?

   I am not looking forward to the remainder of the movies. The thing I dislike about Twilight, more than the corn factor and trashy romance feel to it, is the love triangle and Bella's stupidity. I don't do love triangles unless it's subtle and the 3rd wheel is one-sided. With these stories, it's not. And I hate it. I hate dramatic shit like that, it's overdone and frankly, I've had enough of it in RL. Bella is fucking stupid and I find it unbelievable that so much emphasis be placed on her love for Edward but she still has room for more. It's a bit counter-productive. I hate frustrating stories and I hate it most especially when its coupled with meladramatic teen-angst shit. We'll see how it's handled. I'm most likely not going to watch the following two just for that reason.

Now Quantum, that was a great movie.

      If you don't remember Casino Royale, it's best to brush up. From beginning to end, Quantum of Solace delivered. The soundtrack, direction, editing, acting - it was all superb.
      Daniel Craig is sexy. I'm happy to see that Judi Dench brought up the fact that Mr. Bond is so irresistable to women, they all get themselves killed for him. Ha, ain't that the truth. They addressed it and he felt bad over it. Kudos to this modern version of this character. It's gritty and realistic. You see him being a normal man, with the same faults as everyone else.
The film was fast-paced and smart with a bit of humour here and there. The end felt like it should. There was a resolution, and a classy, somewhat poetic one at that.
Daniel Craig, you are my James Bond.

Also, check out Madagascar 2. It's a complete riot. You'll be laughing through it all.
