Oh no, I speak it very poorly and I understand it on a beginner's level since I forgot everything I learned when I left high school, lol. I know enough to get me by...

but years of watching raw Taiwanese, Korean, and Japanese drama has taught me to read situations and understand enough to enjoy them.

It's a little pathetic, but my collection of Chinese drama dvds on my shelf (all unsubtitled) would lead you to believe I speak mandarin fluently or something, but honestly, I know more Japanese than I do of any Chinese dialect.

That's the power of wushu dramas.

uwah i watch taiwanese and korean dramas too!i rarely watch them rare though, i'm a person who is big on the nuances of language and will always wait for the subs even if it kills me. (but of course with mei chan i had to practically tie my hands to the bedpost to make sure that i dont click ahead due to the fact that i had already downloaded the raws.particularly episode 10.i had to keep chanting later later later).

btw the subs for episode 10 is already out!if you need to concentrate on your exams though, keep it as a treat till after your papers.really really empathize with you, i wonder if the ladies can instruct their butlers to take their exams for them haha!though if my butler was rihito,i would probably instruct him to sit next to me and nowhere else throughout my whole study session.now that's what you call motivation!
